Our Operations

Static and Dynamic Tests

There are the following types of field tests of soils by piles:

  • Dynamic loads;
  • Static impressed, pulling and horizontal loads.

Tests by dynamic loads imply a determination of dependence between number of impacts and length of a pile penetration.

Tests by static loads imply a determination of dependence between a pile settling and applied loads.

A unit for soils tests by static impressed, pulling and horizontal loads should include the following:

  • A unit for a pile loading (jacks and torque weights);
  • Supporting structure for receiving of reactive forces (joisting or trusses with anchor piles and/or service platform);
  • A unit for determination of a pile displacement during tests (reference system with measuring devices).

The same equipment as for piles driving should be used for field tests of soils by dynamic loads by means of production piles.
